You can put 25K$ on it and it may still break! new parts even break.

But good PREVENTIVE maintenance is a big +.

Hydro line (brake, clutch, line, master, slave, cylinder...), coolant
system, a good engine will get you far.

But that is like 20K$ of investment.

So, what broke?
How old are you if may ask?
Where do you want to go?

I travel a lot, far and hard. I also have that feeling sometime, in the
middle of nowhere, at night, but only the first few days. After, i don't
think about it.

I'm such a liar :-)

I did 2 Mexico trip, 1 in 03 with a shitty 73, bad engine, bad everything.
Still, i nmade it home but it was stressful and not pleasant.
