>> Help! I am in Effingham IL, on my way to AZ and there is a large puddle of coolant under the van. Does anyone know a VW mechanic within 100 miles? Nothing on your repair list Larry. <<

There is nobody on the Vanagon rescue squad near you but maybe a list member here can chime in. The repair shop list shows a few in IL but they are 200+ miles away. The closest shop on the list is:

Ron's Foreign Auto Repair Co. Road #540 Benton, MO 63736

+1 (573) 545-3614

Which is still pretty far but they may know of a closer place. There has to be something near St. Louis.

Here are some more in MO but allot are not recommended.

This place is "only" 120 miles away:

Ace's Automotive 110 S. 6th Street Murphysboro, Illinois 62966 Phone: 618-684-3800 aces_automotive@verizon.net

These guys are 90 miles away:

Pro-Tech Motors Pro-Tech Motors Urbana, Illinois 61802 Phone: (217) 328-2337
