Hi Barb,

Mid-America Motorworks is a big retail complex speciallizing in Corvette and VW parts. They have a nice two bay garage in the back of their campus with lifts for their in-house research and developement, but they don't really provide service or mechanics for repairs, but they "might" offer the space to get out of the cold and allow you to diagnose your leak. Call them first and inquire. I'm not sure what Vanagon coolant and motor stuff they stock right offhand, but I'd try them first, good people.

I'm on the west side of St. Louis, but don't know how much I can help. It is 5 degrees outside here, and you need to get that Vanagon out of the weather and a lift would be helpful to get under the Van and track down your problem. I know a VW club member here in St. Louis who is a VW dealership mechanic and he is VERY familiar with Vanagon repairs. He's worked on mine and he owns an '87 Westy himself for at least 12 years. He'll be at work during the day tomorrow. Hopefully you've already found help already, fixed your leak and are back on the road.

Bill
