Subject: Tapping under rear passenger wheel area AND FUEL LINE
              Replacement(?)

I basically have 2 Vanagon mechanics: 1 is for easy routine stuff, and he's at a very convenient location. The other (Bela) is a trouble-shooting sharpshot who is usually right on, and finds the simplest and most economical solution. I think I'll take it to Bela. If it's just a bolt, Bela will charge me for just that instead of replacing the whole works if not needed.

HOWEVER, I've asked both the local mechanic AND Bela about replacing the fuel lines, and both insist that it's NOT needed. Bela says that the current fuel lines are in excellent shape. Can that possibly be, or should I INSIST on having that done? Although it may be easy, I would definitely not do it myself because I have dogs and don't want gasoline spilled anywhere on my property, which I'm sure would happen since I have no experience with fuel lines.
