In my experience, the spray on deicers deice the window, then quickly promote frost formation as they evaporate. Same if I try to deice using the windshield washer (and the two products, washer fluid and deicer are the same stuff -- isopropyl alcohol). So, to me it is just money and effort wasted. Use a scraper and/or the defogger. Dave Mc
