Hi Paul,

Stock Blaupunkt in my van were anything but quality after 20 years. I highly advise that you troubleshoot the polarity of your connections to the rear speakers. If one is out of phase, you may perceive the sound to lack bass notes and sound hollow due to cancellation of sounds present in both channels equally. There are test tone CD's on the Internet you can download and test with but i'd choose a muisc album you're very familiar with. Flip the polarity on one speaker and see if that makes a difference.

Good luck! Cheers, Peter DiFalco

The original 25 year old Blaupunkt speakers sounded better than the new ones. > Quality is ageless and new is not necessarily better. >
