Well certainly, the market value of any item is what someone is willing to pay for it. In this case it seems that a decent-looking Carat with a freshly buffed wax job and armor-all on the rubber and a few aftermarket accessories is worth $10K.

I'm just pointing out, it has over 170,000 miles, a waterboxer engine, wrong tires, and an accident history. I wouldn't pay $10K for that. If someone else will, more power to the seller. And you're right, it's a good data point for anyone trying to fight a low-balling insurance adjuster.
