Subject: Dead of Winter Winter Campout in Georgia
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Mark your calendars! On February 5-7, 2010, Peach State Transporters will be holding its annual Dead of Winter Campout at Cloudland Canyon State Park in the northwest Georgia mountains.

"Located on the western edge of Lookout Mountain, this is one of the most scenic parks in the state, offering rugged geology and beautiful vistas. The park straddles a deep gorge cut into the mountain by Sitton Gulch Creek, and elevation differs from 800 to 1,980 feet."

Scenic hikes include a canyon rim trail, and a trail into the gorge featuring views of two waterfalls. Camp sites include water and electricity, so don't forget to bring a space heater. And, of course, firewood. Lots and lots of firewood.

We're doing a potluck supper on Saturday night, so please bring your favorite recipie and join us.

Directions: 122 Cloudland Canyon Park Road, Rising Fawn, Georgia, 30738. Located on Georgia Route 136, 8 miles east of Trenton and I-59, and 18 miles west of LaFayette.
