Subject: Quick intro and a question
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hello all,

I have re-entered the air cooled Volkswagen tribe again with a 5 year break. I just bought a 1982 Vanagon 2-tone blue paint and original. I've had a 1965 walk-through (which I am still kicking myself for selling), a 65 Ghia, and a 1969 westy camper. Home is Eugene, Oregon where I work for a small tech company and play in an unknown band.

My question is: What book(s) would you recommend for the diy maintenance on a air-cooled Vanagon?

I've heard that these have hydraulic lifters so there's no valve-adjusts?!

Thanks and glad to be back. Cevin
