Justin/Greaseworks is one of the FEW who do a good solid professional TDi conversion..He struggled several years ago to make a profit at 15 to 18K for those and gave up for a while I believe. Can't work for a month and just trade dollars and keep doing it. The reason it so much is experience and quality.

Greaseworks gets 20K for their conversion. Drive in, drive out. Note here: (base price ??)

Thanks for your inquiry. At present the base price for a fully electronic TDI conversion on a Syncro Vanagon with PS and AC is $20,500. This includes a fully rebuilt TDI engine (1Z/AHU), rebuilt/re-geared transmission (1.14 3rd, .77 4th), cruise control, tachometer, Scan Gauge II, and OBDII diagnostics, etc. This conversion typically takes 4-8 weeks, depending on parts availability. We are currently booked for the next few months but could get started by the end of April. To get on our schedule we require a 50% deposit up front so we can assemble and acquire the majority of the components before the Van arrives. Hope this helps, and let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks, Justin
