Subject: Installing Delay Interior light.(questions)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hello list,

I hope anyone that has installed a delay interior light may chime in. I recently bought one of this delay lights from a list member to modify the interior lighting in my vanagon, but it is not working like I like it to

Alistar Bell has a write up on this on his website. I notice that the interior lamp that he obtained still had the wireing plug and some wires that he spliced directly to the wires in the van: Brown (br) Ground Brown + White (br+w) Switchable Ground Red (r) Positive, juice, power. He mentioned that installing one lamp (on his drivers side) controlled the delay of the rest (~6 sec) Im not getting that result as a matter of fact my light just stays on even when the door is closed. I do not have the plug that connects to the lamp and was connecting the wires directly to the lamp.

Can someone verify where the grounds should be plugged? I believe the red (+) should be placed in the middle the 3 connections.

Thanks, Tony -- 82 Scirocco "Rodolfo" 85 Vanagon "El Guapo" 90 Fuji Ace
