All, Vanagon Westys can be equipped with two OEM propane tanks. The mounting points for the second tank are in the frame on the sliding door side. There are two studs at the rear and two weld nuts that you can insert bolts into at the front. They are 10mm if I recall correctly. The location is exactly the same as on the drivers side. You must shim it down as is the OEM tank on the drivers side and I like to add extra shims on both tanks on the outside feet so the tank is angled downward making it easier to connect to the filler valve. I have the second tank on my van and have installed many second tanks on customers vans over the years. They can be kept separate or joined together, your choice. My set-up is they are separate tanks and my second tank has a regulator output for my Propex heater and a unregulated output to connect my cook stove or other self regulated devices.

Written from my laptop in the rear of my van parked in a Pemex station for the night a few kms south of Los Mochis, MX heading further South tomorrow !
