OK, this thread reminded me of a funny story from years ago. I went to a VW winter campout in the Poconos in February. I pull into the campground and walk into the camp store to register. It had snowed a few days earlier and the camp ground was covered in snow. When the desk clerk came out, I told her I was with the VW group. She said she was sorry, but that she could not let me camp down where they were. I asked why not. She said my camper would get stuck. I explained that it was rear engined, and really pretty good in the snow. She again said no, to which I said I couldn't understand why, there had to be others driving one like mine already down there. She again said no, there was no way she could let me down where the group was, I'd get stuck and be there until spring. I then glanced out the front window of the store to see that a monster $300k+ motor home had pulled in behind me, blocking the view of my Westy. She, of course, thought I was driving that! Jeff
