I have a pdf of the carfax if anyone is interested (the VIN on thesamba has the first two letters reversed btw). The wreck he mentions was listed as a total loss (which I understand with a vehicle that old doesn't necessarily mean a lot of damage, just over blue book or whatever). Brief history: Florida 1988, Massachusetts purchase May 2003, 19381 miles, passed inspection in MA Jun 2003 at 19,701, back in FL 12/2004, new owner PA 12/2006, New owner PA 2/2007, totaled by insurance company with 35,993 miles 5/2009 collision damage. Salvage title New Castle PA 9/2009. Rebuilt title (Philadelphia, PA) issued 11/2009, "dealer took control while in inventory" No trace of it being in Virginia in carfax, could be sold but not titled yet I suppose... Anyway, there ya go. My carfax sub expires in a couple days, I have a few queries left if anyone needs anything run. mike
