Hi all Well I picked up a 87 Vanagon that is Rusty beyond fix and the PO took apart the engine for rebuild of coolant issues. Found it to be to much and he had to move so he dumped the project. So, Im Parting. The Trans worked perfect but when he dropped the motor and let the trans tilt down the aluminum mounting tabs on the trans housing were corroded and broke off. So, My question is can that aft section be replaced fairly easy? Is it worth removing and keeping as a parts trans. Just recycle it with the vanagon itself? Thanks Jonce |
