I will have an 88 Westy, pretty much like the one in question, only beautifuler! I wasn't planning on posting this until I was further into the project, but this seems apropo, as you guys are ogling one that is the same model, year and color as mine. It will be available this spring :

Stock 2.1 with new fuel lines, runs great* New gas tank, sender and seal kit* Brake job and brake fluid flush New ignition switch* New head light relay kit New auxiliary battery with new isolator All fluids freshly replaced New Atwood furnace New 3 window pop top canvas Pop top and cargo hold removed and repainted with new stickers front and rear New SS cargo tie downs New skylight with all new SS hardware Exterior SS hardware kit Good Year M&S, properly rated 215-75-15s* SA Rheins from GWesty* New GWesty bra (covers bumper)* Items with asterisk are complete. The remaining items are not complete/installed, but most of these have been purchased. This is my winter project. My intended finish line is April. The van is safely stored in the garage and, since I'm at work, I can't post the mileage. My mind being what it is, I can't really recall it, but I do know it is low and it is the real mileage. Equipped as mentioned above, I will be asking around 20K. A little background on me : this type of thing has been my hobby since 1977. I typically fix these up and turn them into my daily drivers, then sell them and go on to the next. The financing is usually out of pocket, though, from time to time, I do bring in money from parting out vans. I've dealt with a number of list members. I've bought and sold parts and vans, and even donated parts. I've sold vans on commission, for those not endeared to the process. I've even done this for free. All of the work I do on other people's vans I do gratis. Most of this I am able to do because of the information I get from this list and others.......
