I had a 1990 Vanagon (L) which came to me from the original owner with the steel hubcaps. PO insists that how they got it. Have also owned the same year and model Syncro which came with the plastic hubcaps. Guessing that might have been an optional deal because both these vans came from te same dealer in Albany, CA. This is neither her nor there but a couple came to a couple of Van-O- Rama with a Savana Beige van sporting the chrome hubcaps on color- keyed steel rims. They also added chrome trims rings. I doubt those were originals on their 87 GL but it sure looked cool. Reminded me of GM Rally wheels.
