it does say 'extract him from the vehicle' suggesting he may have been belted in. and besides..............ALL vanagon driver's wear their seatbelts, right !! ?

on Oregon, fwiw, the newspaper reports often say if the people had their seat belts on or not. . I haven't seen any pictures of this crash ... but often, when it's a bad crash , particularly rollovers, if they weren't wearing belts, they often get ejected from the vehicle.

since they had to 'extract' him from the wreck I lean toward suspecting he was belted.

not much info, it just says 'driving on ice, and slid off the road'. No idea if that means a rollover, or he smashed straight into a rock or a tree or whatever.

At least the guy made it to 74 years old....way, way longer than many people make it to.
