Interesting, Ben. Noting the second photo, that of course is not only not a stock poptop, it is quite different from the stock poptop. I have seen other vans with that kind of poptop. In fact, they show up for sale fairly regularly on Samba, CL, and EBay. The "bunny van" had a more typical (maybe stock, maybe not, we don't know) poptop, like the one in your first photo. But the "bunny van" lacked the spoiler shown in your photo, too.

I guess in buying something with such a major body modification, one would always be uncertain of the quality of the work done. I suppose good, quality shops do such work. Not something I'd recommend as a DIY project in the driveway :-) .
