We made good use of our satellite radio during the two weeks we drove around Baja California, Mexico.

Very soon after we arrived back home, we realized we weren't anymore getting enough value for our monthly subscription, so dropped the satellite radio. Gave away our satellite radio gear on the local freecycle list.

So, it has its place. *shrug*

I do think you're a bit overly harsh about satellite radio. It does have a huge amount of drek. But that's because it has a huge amount of stuff. It has some good stuff that we don't otherwise have access to. I don't think its noise-to-signal ratio is any higher than any other public media.

Why people prefer to listen to trashy satellite radio songs mass produced by mediocre self-learners, songs - demoralisers, which in addition are blowing away high frequency listening ability forever, is beyond understanding?
