There are several threads about this on thesamba.com and if you search for "Mullendore port" you'll find a clever and helpful guide to lubing the front blower without dissembling. It may not be the best solution, but it's a start and looks pretty easy.   Stephen

Hey Ron,

Good news and bad news.

The good news is that the rear heater fan is real easy to get to by lifting the rear seat and removing the plastic cover.  You should be able to get to the heater fan motor and drop a little oil on the brass bushing.

The bad news - the front heater blower is installed on the front heater assembly tucked under the dash.  It is extremely hard to get to it without removing the dash.  Removing the dash is not hard but it is time consuming and you will spend the weekend. No guarantees that applying oil or lubricant on what you can see of the front heater blower will fix or reduce the whine noise.

The best solution is to replace the front blower and that will run you some bucks - around $120 or so.

Good luck.  Happy Camping, Joel Cort Rochester NY

Quick question - both the front and rear heater blowers whine after 5-10 minutes operation. How difficult is it to lubricate these poor animals?
