Bruce, look inside the Fram and see if it has a pressure relief
spring. Last time I used a Fram filter it didn't have one, but that
was a long time ago.

A better option is a Mobil 1 filter. Use it while you wait on your
mail-order Mahle.  Bus Depot sells them in multi-packs.
