I don't think this is an isolated problem, Jonathan.

All of the Lobro CV boots that I installed a little over a year ago showed signs of cracking when I replaced another bad joint last April. So, 5 months and only 3000 miles! I passed this info on to Peter at Van Cafe where I bought the boots.

Peter wrote back:

" thanks for the feedback on the boots. These are rough waters to navigate these days when name companies now outsource production to less developed countries and companies that are based in Germany label their products with "Germany" written on them as opposed to "made in Germany" but make the parts in China. I will scrutinize the boots that we are using and look into the Rockfords. That is also a good suggestion about the ready to go Lobro axle. Thank You, Peter "

It would be good to hear from all of you out there who are having problems with these boots so that maybe Lobro will stop selling inferior parts.

On that note, I am going to crawl under my van next chance I get to check all 8 boots. Let you know...
