I had a similar bag from Cabela's -- designed for an ATV rack and billed as waterproof. It wasn't waterproof and after a couple of annoying ezxperiences I threw it in the garbage bin at a campground while muttering bad words. The design is close enough that I'm betting that this one isn't waterproof either -- water resistant maybe. There is a world of distance between the two. YMMV
