couldn't be a factory vanagon, but you never know. the earliest air-cooled vanagon I have ever seen had a unusual small horn pad. the only one I have ever seen that way. must have been like October 79 production date or something like that.

cables are weak compared to a hydraulic release clutch system. the hyd. system used on the vanagon is just excellent, - two minor complaints I can think of , but in the real world they work very well.
