hadn't ever had the problem.

how about this approach - loosen all the mounting screws, spray silicone lube generously on the rubber seals, between those and the paint on the roof. , load the rack with 3 bags of cement .. in other words, pretty heavily with something, then tighter the mounting screws. then remove the weight.

that might do something.

I also wonder what's under it. rain has to flow through it. that means leaves and junk get under it too. you can have a 'whole world' of living compost under there sometimes.

oh yeah.....'back in the old days' ........ when people actually fixed things ........one very good approach on anything that acts weird, is to take it all apart, clean everything, repair and lube all the loose and bent stuff or whatever ...........then reassemble carefully. That can do amazing things, that method.

the hardest part is taking the first step. Once you do that....then the next steps follow naturally. you know, Rebuild the Installation of it.
