I siliconed that joint all along the front of the luggage box moulding and van metal top. Very thin bead all along it, cleaned it up while still malleable and it dried and can't be seen and works. I've also needed to get under the box and was able to remove the screws that hold it down, lift the rear and that silicone bead acted like a hinge point and is still in tact and holding up some 7-8 years later.

The buzzing started for me when I replaced the pop top and luggage box moulding.
