Tristar #800? How did they figure that out?

Importing is not a problem, but expensive, especially if you want it done legally, and especially in CA! Insurance is not an issue.

I did read the story but it still prompted my question. I suppose since I'm not a car collector (although I do have more than my share of worthless vehicles) I don't understand why this makes it worth SO MUCH MORE. That being said, I have no idea what a DOKA is worth. Heck, I'm a tightwad. I wouldn't pay $60k for a new car.

I guess my first thought was, if (and I quote the ad) "These trucks are pretty common all over the world, EXCEPT in the USA.", then would it not be cheaper to import one? Unless, of course, it's desirable to pay more because of the story behind it. I'm also wondering, what insurance company would even touch this?

I ask all this mainly for curiosity. I'm certainly not trying to start a flaming thread.
