Good morning, I realize this is a longshot but thought someone here might have some core Audi calipers or maybe know where I might be able to procure these in a hurry. We were about to finish my dual-piston Audi caliper conversion on my Syncro 16 (ML320 303mm discs). When we got into final assembly, we discovered the caliper guide pins were missing after the carriers came back from the machine shop. These are common on the earlier Girling calipers such as the G60's. Here's some pics from a Rover but it's essentially the same part. I tried to take some off some Golf calipers but they were too small for the G60's. http://www.rangerovers.net/maintenance/brake4m.JPG http://www.rangerovers.net/maintenance/guidepins.JPG http://www.rangerovers.net/maintenance/guidepinkit.jpg
You can also see them on the Audi caliper in David Marshall's website: http://www.syncro.ca/tech/Audi100BakesHub-Carrier.jpg
I figured these must be available somewhere besides Audi. They want to sell me the whole carrier. They sell them for Rovers at the website where I found the above pics.
Thoughts?
