If I went and got another battery charger, how could I be able to determine if that one would "like" the power that my genset does deliver? Is there a way, something to look for in the specs, some charger- feature to avoid that may make a different charger work ok ? If I could get another charger that was willing to work off my Powermate PM0401853 rather than shelling out almost a thousand bucks for a second generator (and I dislike generators anyhow) it'd be perfectly acceptable for me to have to move the generator and a battery charger around to the batteries and 'manually' charge them back up if they get low after a cloudy period or whatever... This powermate generator has worked fine for me on the job running power tools. It did have a cable (with a lighter type fixture and some clamps) to charge batteries directly off the genertator but I never could get that to work and I've lost that now. I do show those power point type sockets supply adequate 12dc after I 'excite' the generator by pluging a tool into the 110v ac and running it for a second... Maybe I never did that in my past attempts to charge directly off the generator... Don Hanson On Mon, Feb 8, 2010 at 3:24 PM, Loren Busch <starwagen@gmail.com> wrote:
