Personally I think it's because Eurovans don't lend themselves as well to
self maintenance - and no offense to those of you who have them and love
them but they just don't have the same character as a Vanagon - much like a
Vanagon doesn't have as much character as a Bay - and a Bay a Splittie.

Sure each model advanced technically and in comfort - but they all lost a
bit of magic along the way.
