Hi Kevin,

That sounds like a weak solenoid to me.

The cheapest fix is to remove the starter and lubricate the solenoid. That is something that should probably be done every 1-2 years on these vehicles. Next cheapest option is to replace the solenoid.

Or you can replace the whole starter. Adding a relay to the starter circuit would also be a good idea.
