Subject: Starter Help! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check your ground. Put a heavy jumper on frame(not the engine) to the starter body and try.  You can have all the 12 volt you need, but without a good path to ground it's useless. The ground strap to the engine may be broken. When I spent 3 hours swapping in a known good starter and having same results I regretted not applying Scott tubovan's remote starter switch idea!! That is a good idea to put together before you need it. Chris C -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My 91 starter not turning. I here the fuel pump come on, there is 12v  at the  main starter lead and less than 4 at the solenoid when turning the  key. When  I disconnect the solenoid lead and turn the key there 12v. So under a  load  is when I think is the problem but what ?? I had the starter tested at  a  shop and worked. Some history, this past fall the short braided cable  between the starter and solenoid was replaced at a shop.  Thanks again for your wisdom!! >   > Kevin Plichta >   >
