I agree an oxy acetylene torch is a great way to get nuts off..... But the candle wax method is suprisingly effective! Try it first..... why not? Just heat it up a bit with a map gas or similar torch, pull away the torch and touch a candle to it. As the wax permiates, do it again. Heat cycle it a few times with additional wax, be prepared to deal with the flames of burning wax..... and i bet you'll be able to just put a wrench on there and crank it right off.

Then go to the oxy torch.
