You might just be bypassing the problem. With the headlight switch and
ignition on you should find two hot wires there. The one that has power all
the time and the one that is switched by the headlight switch. Be sure to
get this right. That lever switch is also pricey.

So I found the problem. It was in the low beam high beam switch. I removed
the steering wheel and un plugged the turn signal switch and wiper switch
and removed then from the col-om. I took a wire and jumped the plug and the
lights work. I made a small jumper wire and plugged one end into the hot
wire (power wire) and then jumped to the low beam. I will leave it this way
tell I can get another switch off of a good used van. Thanks for all your
help.

Danny, it could be the headlight switch or ignition switch as Dennis says.
I don't think it is a ground issue because the lights will come on when you
pull the high beam lever back and if the ground was bad I don't think this
would happen. The ignition switch is a cheap thing to try first. We sell
them for $9 and you can plug it into the wiring harness without actually
replacing it to see if it fixes the problem. If it does then you can
properly install it, if not you have a spare and can buy the more expensive
headlight switch and know that is the problem for sure. We have both of
these parts in stock. Please let me know if we can help you further.

wont come on unless you hold up the dimmer switch. And the relay does not
click. But when I pull up on the turn signal switch the high beam light on
the dash comes on and so do the lights but as soon as I let go they go back
off. Any help thanks........
