Should be no trouble running a tap in there, but you'll need a bottoming tap, or shorten a regular plug tap* because the hole is not very deep. *Go very carefully if it's a carbon steel tap so as not to soften the metal. If it turns blue or even straw-colored it's too late, and just grinding the color off won't fix it. Yours, David |
