Hello Testing my Hall sender as per Bentley (28.43). "-connect voltage tester US 1115 to center and outer contacts of Hall sender connector -operate starter and check signal from Hall sender -if LED flickers, Hall sender is okay" Well, I just have a 12v test light, not a US 1115 (whatever that is). And it flickers when I check the center (green wire) with one of the outer contacts (brown wire), but not when I check the center with the other (red wire). I have the sender plugged in, and am accessing the wires through the backside of the pulled up boot. I have 12 when I unplug and just check the outer contacts. Since Bentley says "outer contacts" I assume this to mean that I should get flickering with the center-and either outer contact, but I only get one side. Is this right? Is my Hall sender bad? Is this inconclusive? Or am I just screwing up? Oh, the thing won't run, seems to have gas, seems not to have spark. Thanks Ray |
