FWIW, it's an E flat dropping down closer to D <grin> Sounds like fan is stuck. (bearings w.h.y.) I'm sure list wisdom will correct me, as there might be a risk of crackage, but to make sure.... I'd remove glove box and gently rap on heat exchange housing to see if fan jars loose. If possible I'd also check if fan frees up in warmer weather. Neil.
