Dave,

I agree on the Eurovan. People like them but to me they are a mini-van.

As for love affairs with particular vehicles - consider me guilty. I know the limitations of the Vanagon and while in the long run they are objects. To me it is more fun when you allow them to have a personality. You see them same thing with many many other people and types of vehicles (or other inanimate objects).

To be clear I wasn't really expecting an answer to why you have one - I was simply pointing out that at first (back many many months) it wasn't clear.

As for your original observation - I guess I wasn't really disagreeing at all. It is something I personally haven't noticed but I don't read a lot of the "WBX or not" posts. My post was simply asking if you had that observation because of your particular experience.
