Raymond, With the ignition ON I hold the distributors center wire near the block while turning the engine over by hand. You should get a spark AND hear the injectors fire twice per revolution. For an easier/safer method use one of these http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=4445

The distributors connector is too fragile for poking at with test leads.
