I use mine all the time as well.  They're great for loose, misc. items that
might roll away or get lost.  I keep a pad and pen there, a collapsible
umbrella and it's a great place to stash my purse if I'm going for a hike
with my dogs. No one sees it.

My jumpseats reside in the van full time as do the trays. They hold all
sorts for me - flashlights, roll o' paper towels and the Bentley manual
rides in one on long trips. I would most certainly miss them if they
disappeared.
