It was my wife that got me into Vanagons in the first place. She and her Ex had a Westy Syncro which she regretted leaving behind so we bought our own. Technically it is hers as we were not married then but she has only driven it a few times since August 1, 2003 when we purchased it. Since then I have purchased two more, one for a Winter daily driver the other for parts. Soon I we will be back down to one though as the parts van awaits being stripped and the daily driver Sunroof Syncro is for sale. I no longer need it since she gave me a `2010 Element for Christmas. I will miss the roominess of the Vanagon but real cabin heat, headlights that work better than candles, and a warranty will make up for it and we still have the Westy.
