I drove Splitties for several years, I remember selling my last one, I wanted a roll down window I could hang my arm out of. I never really thought about it as the Holy Grail... I left the baywindow buses and went to the Vanagon because that's what turned up when I needed real heat. It was a wise choice. I drive my Vanagon everyday and it's beautiful, all of my Vanagons have been.
