I am redoing the wiring for my radio, and trying to prepare for eventual install of a better stereo system. If there were no existing power connections for your radio, where would you tap in for the power (yellow) and signal (red) for a modern radio. I got the ground part covered. A few stats: 82 diesel camper no secondary battery but would like to add one later for camper, radio, interior lights, etc. right now I have the dash off and have good access to the fuse block there are no power wire connections (that I would re-use) in the westy right now, so a clean slate Bentley says connect power to the light switch, but I don't think I would do that. I'm thinking fuse 8. Suggestions? Also, if I later add a secondary battery, I would run the hot lead to fuse 8? And disconnect the 10ga wire from it so those circuits only run off of the secondary battery ? -- Alan Felder Austin TX 82 Diesel Westy |
