Buoyed up by the hockey game today, I tried my hand at making a tool to remove the individual connectors from the multi prong connector blocks found on the back of '86 up Vanagons. It worked out pretty well, I have posted pics here: http://shufti.wordpress.com/2010/02/28/multi-prong-connector-tool/
Its not a tool that will be used often. I used it today to strip the connectors from some Audi blocks I had, and I will use the recovered "pig-tails" to add circuits to my van fuse box. Yes, I could have bought some new connectors (I have some Molex that seem to fit), but the tool is still handy, and was fun to make. cheers Alistair '86 syncro 7 passenger '82 westy, diesel converted to gas in '94 http://www.members.shaw.ca/albell/ http://shufti.wordpress.com |
