I try not to modify, drill holes, etc. I brought with me from USA a dozen 120 volts "economy" fluoresent lamps and 12/120 v inverter. A lamp with 60 watts output draws 1.2 amperes. A lot of light! I even use occasionally 100 watts lamp. In Portugal I bought 220 volt Philips super-light bulbs. A 75 watts bulb draws .90 amps. I run my bulbs with 12/220 volts inverter. Excellent quality , pleasant color temperature light. I will wait till LED will be much cheaper. I think these days inverter assisted lighting is a very good alternative. Ark |
