Starbucks does NOT have free wifi, never did. Their wifi is provided by
AT&T and you have to have an account to use it.
Well you could have fooled me. Just got back from 55 days in US
where I constantly and consistently got free wifi and every Starubcks
I visited. Same thing in Canada
You DO NOT need a AT &T account you need a Starbucks
user name and password that you can easily get when you
register a Starbucks card. As long as you have even 5 cents
on the card you can get the free wif. Simply reload the card
when it's empty to keep access to wifi. You don't have to do any follow
up online when you add to your card.
Free Wifi at Starbucks works for me!

Vancouver
I have just spend 55 days in California, Oregon, Washington and
Ariz
