My life with vanagons began when my wife, Mary Ellen who at the time was suffering from severe degenerative disk issues stated she no longer wanted to camp in tents because it was too hard on her back. I began to look for alternatives and found a '90 Westy MV that I thought was perfect. We could still use all the camping gear that we owned and had a nice comfy bed to sleep in. When I lost my MV I bought a Toyota FJ Cruiser and we were back to the tent and/or cabin and found it wasn't quite the same. When she said to me one day, "when are you going to find us another camper?" I realized that she really loved the thing as much as I did. Although I couldn't find a nice MV to replace my old one I did find a very nice '87 full camper in Texas that we just love.
