It would seem to me you get what you pay for. I would think that the Samba would have a slightly better clientele than Craigslist but not by much. I could be wrong, and I'm sure plenty will chime in here, but would you not get these types of annoying people if you used eBay? Sure you gotta pay but the buyers are slightly more committed than Samba buyers. I've never sold a car on eBay so I could be completly wrong about what kind of tire kickers you get there but I've been selling on eBay for over 10 years without those kind of annoying buyers.

And most of all, that van looks like it's easily worth more than you are asking and would probably command a higher price on eBay.

First of all I want to say thanks for Ron Salmon helping out my ego :-)

Secondly, I would normally have done what most folks are suggesting on the list and just let this nonsense go by with no comment. I think with isolated incidents that is the best course. But this is not an isolated incident. This is becoming very common place with Samba ads. I have gotten about one of these types of emails and even phone calls per month over the past year. The only way that I can think of combating is to bring this type of bad behavior to the list. Maybe if there were repercussions for this type of behavior, it would stop. I thought I would show the list what is going on, and maybe get some suggestions as to the action that could be taken to curb this bad behavior.

What do you think?
