Check the coil's resistance. Chances are it's not the problem. See if you are getting 12v to the coil and make sure the ECU is grounding it.

Having a "cranks but no start" problem with '88 auto. Westy. Was thinking of swapping in the coil from my '90, but I see the '88 & '89 takes a different coil. Can I do this and what is the difference between the
